Serbian writer and photographer Ljiljana Maletin Vojvodic is resident artist at USF this summer

During the residency in Bergen, she will be working on a fictional novel about women writers who was inspired by one of the most important Serbian prose writers, polyglot and essayist, Isidora Sekulić (1877 - 1958) and her book "Letters from Norway" (1914), a remarkable meditative travelogue, written during Isidora's travels from Oslo to Bergen.

Ljiljana Maletin Vojvodic is a published writer (fictional novels, non-fictional narratives, newspaper articles) who has participated in different international projects and artist-in-residence programs in Portugal, Spain, Latvia and Greenland.

During 2009, she was awarded Second prize for best contemporary novel in Serbian language (Milutin Uskokovic, Medjaj, Uzice).

As an photographer (awarded by Special prize for a series of photos from Iceland, Photo-movie association, Belgrade, Serbia, 2008), she cooperated with visual artist, Dragan Vojvodic, in his projects in Finland, France and Iceland.

Ljiljana is dealing with: image studies, contemporary art, women writings, prejudice, culture, intercultural dialogue, tradition, art and artist.
